The Inaugural Semiconductor Women’s Forum in Singapore
Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association sees the opportunity to attract more female talents into our industry and grow the talent pool for the industry. In fact, many industry leaders have taken the lead and pledge to make a substantial impact on the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women in our industry.
The theme of the inaugural Semiconductor Women’s Forum 2021 will be Beyond Recovery: Leadership For A More Inclusive And Resilient World. It aims to inspire more female talents to join the semiconductor sector and, at the same time, to inspire the current female workforce to stay and thrive in the industry. It will also provide a platform to drive the industry-wide initiative to promote a diverse workforce and inclusive culture in our workplace. The event also coincides with the national initiative to celebrate women’s contributions, as the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) has recently declared 2021 as the Year of Celebrating SG Women.
This will be a hybrid event with speakers, panelists and a small group of on-site invited guests , adhering strictly to safe distancing rules. The majority of the participants will join virtually via Zoom. Participants will include industry leaders, current workforce, government agencies and most importantly, our future talents, the students. They will listen to female leaders and entrepreneurs who have excelled in the semiconductor industry to share their experiences and career journeys.
