Murata

Murata Electronics Singapore (Pte.) Ltd. (MES) is a subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd. in Japan. It functions as production and sales foothold of the Murata Group in the ASEAN regions.

 

Established in 1972, Murata Electronics Singapore was one of the first factories set up by Murata outside Japan to meet the demands of the electronic components in South East Asia. 

 

Murata owns four facilities in Singapore, three of which are located in Yishun Industrial Park, specializing in the manufacture of multilayer ceramic chip capacitor and sales in Southeast Asia and Southern Asia, and one in Tuas specializing in the development and manufacture of batteries. To support Murata Singapore’s sales operations, several Overseas Sales Affiliates were established in the region, such as Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, India and Vietnam.

 

Today, Murata has a global presence in over 100 offices worldwide and now manufactures a myriad of of electronic products ranging from communication and wireless modules to power supplies. Murata also prides itself in its research on new technology related to RF components and owing to this, Murata holds more than 300 patents and patent applications for technology related to ceramic capacitors
