Manufacturers of cutting-edge LEDs use AMEC’s metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) systems to deposit thin layers of atoms onto semiconductor wafers with exceptional precision and ultra-high reliability. Our Prismo™ family is comprised of three MOCVD systems for high-volume LED production. The newest addition is the Prismo HiT3™ – a system that manufactures deep UV LEDs that are deployed in germicidal lamps to safely destroy harmful pathogens. The products are used to disinfect water and sanitize spaces like hospital operating rooms and large public environments.
